Carpal tunnel: Incisions can appear to be open especially in the thick palm skin as the skin dries and cracks. Often one may see peeling skin from the edges but the incision is not open just appears that way. However on occasion the skin may open in a true fashion. Palm skin usually heals well even if open a little and as long as there is no infection, then it may take a week or two to fill in ASK UR DR if ???
