Pregnancy: If you are drinking plenty of water, you are doing a good job! that is the best liquid to drink. A healthy and balanced diet that has all the three categories: carbohydrates (40-50%), protein (20-25% or 0.5 gram per pound of your body weight) and fat (25-30%) would be the most appropriate. Also, one mg of folic acid/day has been shown to be beneficial. You may also discuss it this with OBGYN

Diet in pregnancy: the best diet is to eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water and decrease caffeinated drinks
