Gingival recession: Exposed roots make teeth sensitive to temperature, don't look attractive and increase risk of developing cavities, too. It may be caused by trauma, or excessive, aggressive tooth brushing. One treatment option may be a soft tissue graft performed by your dentist or periodontist. See your dentist for proper diagnosis.
