Can physical activities worsen the effects of vertigo and prolong symptom?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: When you have a bout of vertigo, the best position is partly reclined, like a recliner halfway down, with your head neutral, i.e. not turned to the left or right. This puts your inner ear in "neutral" and allows healing. You can take Meclizine (Dramamine) to help, and make sure to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. If symptoms don't improve over night, time to see your doctor.
