A member asked:

If my b12 is 240, is that bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vitamin B12: Values of less than 200 pg/mL are a sign of a vitamin B12 deficiency. People with this deficiency are likely to have or develop symptoms. Older adults with vitamin B12 levels between 200 and 500 pg/mL may also have symptoms. It would be appropriate for you to see a doctor and be evaluated for the relatively low levels. If you are taking medicine to lower stomach acid that may lower the B12.
