A member asked:

I am b12 defiency.the reading was 160.is that bad.all i know is i dont absorb b12.so im getting injections. how does the injections work..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

B12 injections: B12 deficiency can cause anemia (low red cell blood level) and raising the B12 level resolves this. Some people have an antibody that interferes with normal B12 absorption in the stomach and so supplements cannot be taken orally and injections bypass the stomach problem.
