Nerve testing: The level you are describing for you disc herniation would not be expected to cause the numbness in that area. I would expect something lower down in the spine. There are some nerves in the legs that can develop neuropathies. EMG/NCV testing may help with the diagnosis. A Physiatrist or Neurologist may help you get to the bottom of you diagnosis.
