A member asked:

Is sinusitis a forever diasase? can a person be cured permanently of this in a few years with regular treatment? how many years? thank you.

Depends on the cause: If you have chronic allergies or cystic fibrosis, then sinusitis can sometimes hang on and be very frustrating to manage. An acute infection will usually clear up after treatment with the appropriate antibiotic. Talk it over with your doctor to see what is causing yours and the best treatment. Also, products like Neti pot often help relieve pressure, drainage and sinus symptoms. Hope that helps.
