Preventing colds: Bacterial sinusitis is a common complication of colds.Symptoms can be a worsening of symptoms after cold improves.Prior treatment of sinusitis (eg:antibiotics) does not provide protection (unless surgery for problems that caused them).Washing hands often in cold season & not touching nose & avoiding being close to people with colds & nasal irrigation if you get a cold (unless reason not to) helps.
