Yes: The ribs are attached in the back and the front. So if an area is restricted you can also have discomfort in the front.

Could be: If you have a muscle spasm in your mid back, it can pinch your intercostal nerve (the nerve between your ribs). That can cause pain which radiates around to your front. You are fairly young for heart disease, but if you develop a significant worsening of pain or severe trouble breathing, call your doctor or go to the ER. Hope this helps!
