A member asked:

If zofran (ondansetron) caused qtc prolongation, would qt int. go back to normal after stopping the medication? or is this a permanent change?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BACK TO NORMAL: Ondansetron (Zofran) primarily blocks potassium channels, prolonging the QT interval, but these changes are acute, transient and reversible. Concern was for IV formulation in doses higher than 16 mg.
