Zofran (ondansetron) is very safe works sensually, meaning via the central nervous system, and works on as far as I know, all types of nausea. Nausea that persists should be evaluated for other diseases that may be more serious than a simple minor gastrointestinal virus

It was originally used for vomiting induced by chemotherapy and anesthesia, but has become widely used for all types of vomiting including vomiting in pregnancy. No drug is 100% effective and failure rates in studies are as high as 25-30%. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
