Great medicine: Zofran (ondansetron) is very safe works sensually, meaning via the central nervous system, and works on as far as I know, all types of nausea. Nausea that persists should be evaluated for other diseases that may be more serious than a simple minor gastrointestinal virus

Not really: It was originally used for vomiting induced by chemotherapy and anesthesia, but has become widely used for all types of vomiting including vomiting in pregnancy. No drug is 100% effective and failure rates in studies are as high as 25-30%. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
