Possible: taking hormones may be associated with an increased risk of pulmonary embolism or other clotting disasters. some people are hypercoagulable, or smoke or have other risk factors and should not take hormones. even people with no apparent risks can have a clot. you have to weigh the risks versus benefits in each case.
