Clarification needed: "estrogen dominance" is a non-specific term. If you mean a lack of ovulation and irregular menses, then Progesterone is important to prevent a pre-cancerous change the the uterine lining. If you are ovulating with monthly cycles, I am unaware of a syndrome of estrogen dominance.

Day 14-28 of cycle.: The first day of your period/cycle/menses is day one. Take Progesterone the 14th day after your period thru 28th. Explore why you are estrogen dominant in the first place. Common causes include not ovulating (?Hormonal imbalance, stress, meds, excess body fat, sugar/refined carbs), constipation (?Lack of fruit/vegs/exercise, food sensitivites), non-organic foods, and abnormal estrogen metabolism.
