Can I cut my 10 mg prednisone pill in half to equal 5mg?

It will be 5 mg: If you cut the pill in half, it will equal 5 mg. Generally it is fine to cut prednisone. However, don't change your dose of the medication unless you have consulted with the prescribing doctor.

Once a day. : I would not want to negate the schedule your doctor actually prescribed (check medicine bottle), but Prednisone can be taken effectively once daily.
