I was prescribed 20 mg tablets of prednisone (12tablets) to be tapered down over 6 days. i feel horrible on a high dosage. can i cut the pills in half? how should i taper it? in the past i've been prescribed a 4mg medrol pac and did fine?

Not clear as to the reason for your steroids, and in order to achieve your intended outcome, you should follow your doctor's instructions. It is not unusual to have adverse reactions when using prednisone, and your doctor can provide approaches that could ease much of the burden. Contact the office today.
