A member asked:

I have a small, painless lump at the base of my sternum. i just had an ultrasound and now they say i need to come back for another. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ask the doctor: The ultrasound of the abdomen looks at the liver, spleen, gall bladder, great vessals and can see lesions in the subcutaneous tissue. I do not know why you had the ultrasound, but whoever reviewed it wanted to see something that might be interesting in greater detail. You will have to ask your doctor.
