I spray painted for 20 minutes and took in some fumes. can this damage my lungs this quickly. i feel shortness of breath, but i have tons of anxiety.

Test yourself: Count the number of breaths per minute. If you do not have lung problems at other times, should be less than 20. Try mild exercise you could normally do (stairs, walking a block or two). If these are harder than normal, seek help. Shortness of breath may not be from fumes

Cause of SOB: Short term effects of the chemicals found in spray paint include irritation to the eyes, nose & throat, headache, dizziness. Usually you don't feel short of breath right away but these chemicals can affect the respiratory system. If shortness of breath persists or worsens, seek urgent medical attention. In future, read labels on products, use in ventilated/spray enclosure with protective equipment
