Get it fixed: It may not come out now but will likely return after you lift something. They can do endoscopic surgery which takes no more than an hour and you will be up and about the same day. The problem with hernia is that it limits your activities and you don't really want it to pop out when you are on a trip. The repair is simple and I would strongly encourage you to get it fixed.

Ok: If you think that you don't need the truss anymore it is fine to give it a try without the truss. The truss is for your comfort. if the hernia comes out and becomes incarcerated it will hurt like the devil and you will need to go to the ER to have it reduced or operated.
