Interesting!: It is interesting that every 90 minutes you awaken. Typically, your rem stage cycles every 90 minutes. People do typically awake from this stage. However, this is also the stage that sleep apnea tends to be the worst. You should talk to your doctor to see if you may have an underlying sleep disorder.

Sleep: You need a room that is comfortable, with lack of intrusive noises, light, people, animals, etc. The bed needs to be comfortable and the temperature and humidity comfortable for you. The best sleep is natural sleep , ie not made with medications.
