For what?: usually some undiagnosed abdominal pain, pressure or symptoms like weight loss, bowel dysfunction. Sometimes called exploratory when diagnosis is between appendicitis, ileitis, crohn's , tubal issues etc. Basically looking for a diagnosis, and correction of the problem
