Can you tell me about preauricular sinus?

Sinus: Great question. Pretty common. When your ear if developing, its three embryologic parts fuse together. Sometimes when they do they leave a deep pit or tract. Usually it doesnt go anywhere but sometimes it extends into the ear canal or parotid gland. If theres no history of infection we would leave them alone

Congenital: Preauricular sinus is a anomaly some people are born with. It is often discovered when the tract gets infected.
