Ah, language!: I expect that the intent is to not lose the important directions, warnings and identification information. Don't discard the original or fully empty it (leave one to compare for ID). That's a lot more words and may be harder to translate too.) Rarely, packaging is protective against moisture damage, etc. but that's not likely here. Relax - but keep the info handy when you use a pill box. Best!
