CBC & CRP: Complete blood cell counts with a predominance of lymphocytes and a low CRP are strongly suggestive of a viral infection. Viral infections are often characterized by upper respiratory tract symptoms, fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea and/or rash. Since most viral infections to not improve with antibiotics, treatment is supportive.
