HPV types associated with plantar and common warts include type 1 and types 2 and 4, respectively. Flat warts are most often caused by HPV types 3 and 10, while butcher's warts (common warts that tend to occur in meat, poultry, and fish handlers) are most are most often associated with HPV types 7 and 2
