Full stomach?: Wait 2 hrs after a meal to exercise. When your muscles are working very hard, they need maximum blood supply; so shunting a large portion to the digestive tract is counterproductive. On an empty stomach, sports drinks are an excellent supplement during exercise. Do not drink "energy drinks", such as Red Bull or Rockstar - they have significant cardiac risks.
