Old Wives Tale: A cough will NOT hurt your pregnancy..... but see your Primary Care Doctor to investigate the reason for the cough and get some medication to help it!

Not necessarily: In most cases, common colds/cough during early pregnancy wouldn't hurt the baby. You should always check with your OB before taking any medicine during pregnancy, including cough and cold therapy as some ingredients may not be advisable including cough suppressants, antihistamines and decongestants. The safest bet is to let these minor viral illnesses run their natural course. Congratulations!

Nota Coughing Matter: Too much coughing is good for nothing, unless you just inhaled a chunk of hot dog and need to get it out quick,or there's lots of gooey junk in your lung you need to get out. But as for the for anything in uterus territory,I don't think you should worry. But it's like this:if you just have a cold, try and cut the cough.Just don't overdo it and check labels of the cough medicines,at least to get sleep
