Hard to know: You could have a strep pharyngitis, and can get a throat culture or strep test at an urgent care center since it's saturday. You may also have a simple cold -- needing plenty of rest and fluids. Salt-water gargles may help the throat pain, but since it's persistent it's best to get it checked out today.
