Need treatment: Muscle cramps should not last this long. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If you are drinking a lot of caffeine or alcohol that can dehydrate you and cause cramping. Adding a multivitamin may also help. A sports drink like gatorade may help replace your electrolytes. Stretching is also important, gentle stretches of muscles that are cramping held for several minutes are best.
