GERD: These symptoms are classic symptoms of GERD and Hiatal Hernia. You seem at risk for complications -- heartburn, esophagitis, ulcer, transformation of esophageal mucosal tissue into atypical tissue, and aspiration. Needs remedy.

Yes, it does .: Elevate the head side of the bed few inches, avoid eating at least 3 hours before sleep. Use over the counter proton pump inhibitors and antiacid medication. Avoid caffeine and chocklate. See how are you doing. If no improvement see a GI specialist.
