2nd Degree Burn: Second-degree burns involved tissue destruction in the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue, causing transudative fluid, clear fluid oozing from the site. If left untreated, secondary bacterial infection can occurred causing localized cellulitis, with lymphagitis. Topical Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) is the primary treatment of choice, and may require additional antibiotic, and wound care.
