Some time ago i suddenly saw only black for a short while and then everything went white for a longer period. was this some kind of seizure?

Unlikely.: Visual seizures are usually not visual loss (white or black). Rarely seizures can cause a flurry of colours then visual loss with recovery in a few minutes. If your vision problem was just one eye, it is usually from a problem with the optic nerve on that side, a blood vessel, or the eye itself. If it was truly seizure related eventually a more obvious seizure will emerge.
