Not necessarily: Seizures can be scary for everyone, but unless constant or when driving for example, are not usually life threatening. It is common for the post-seizure period to have confusion, sleepiness, and achiness for 30-60 minutes. So a post-ictal phase is normal and expected. See someone if new seizures, or worsening control of known seizures.
