Not usually: PID is an infection in your pelvic organs and typically caused by either vaginal bacteria or STDs. Antibiotics typically treat PID sufficiently. PID can cause symptoms such as abnormal vaginal discharge, fever, pelvic pain, or irregular bleeding.
