Unspecific: Sore ankles can be from a wide range of injuries like tendinitis, arthritis, sprain, or fracture. You see a podiatrist for X-rays and evaluation

Get evaluated: I suggest getting an evaluation from your local Podiatrist including a x-ray. It can be your body's own reaction so don't put off your visit.

In order to figure: Out why they are so sore you need to see a foot/ankle doctor to check on the structure of the feet. Some medical conditions affect joints and this may or may not have to be rules out as well.

Might be your feet: Sometimes pain in the ankle is actually coming from the foot. That throbbing pain you describe is likely caused by poor walking mechanics unless you have had a history of prior trauma to your ankles. I recommend you see a podiatrist for further evaluation.
