I fractured my ankle 8 days ago. due to fly in 5 days to usa from uk for honeymoon. in a lightweight cast. is it safe to fly and should cast be split?

Ankle fracture: It is safer to fly in the cast as it is more protective than if it is bivalved like a splint. Both flying and recent ortho injuries are risks for blood clot development however so you should ask your physician if prophylaxis for this is warranted.
