My daughter is 4 never heard a murmur in her heart before but the past 2 times md heard it on right side of chest. loud she said. why?

Ped cardiologist: this needs to be evaluated by a pediatric cardiologist.she needs an exam and possibly an ekg and echocardiogram

Followup With Doctor: 4 y.o. has heart murmur. Innocent heart murmurs are common; occur in 80% of kids at some point in childhood. Location, intensity, duration are features of murmurs used to distinguish innocent vs. non-innocent (pathologic). Additonally, absence of heart disease symptoms, normal physical exam/growth/development are reassuring for a benign cause; further testing may not be needed, just observation.
