If you are having normal stool once a day without taking lactulose do u still nedd to take lactulose to control ammonia level?

Ammonia level: that depends on what your ammonia levels are. lactulose is used to help get rid of ammonia via the stool. Talk to your treating doctor about what your levels are, but do not stop any therapy until told so by your doctor
