Lab says normal liver ammonia is between 27-102.husbands is 108 and doctor put him on lactulose. has stage 3 fibrosis.why when ammonia not that high?

Intersting question : very interesting question. If you take 1/2 of healthy liver out surgically liver func will still be normal. Person with fibrosis and ammonia even though slightly elevated signifies significant loss of liver function. Please follow your physician's advice
