Too much ibuprofen: Please please do not take so much ibuprofen. It can affect your kidneys and give you stomach irritation. You can take up to 2400 mg a day but at this point give your kidneys a break and lay off the stuff. Try ice on your head and neck, a dark quiet room, sleep may help. See your doctor soon

Seek eval ASAP: The maximum recommended dose of ibuprofen is 800 mg a dose or 3200 mg split over 4 doses in a 24 hr period. Ibuprofen can be toxic to your kidneys and cause severe issues with bleeding. You must be evaluated for your headache as soon as possible. If this is" the worse headache of your life" you need to be seen in an ER right away.

Stop Ibuprofen: High dose of Ibuprofen 800 mg 4 tablets at once increase your risk of gastric ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, and generally not recommended at such a high dose. If you have persistent headaches, not released with ibuprofen, you may need to consider other causes of headache.

Severe pain: If you are having a severe headache and the amount of ibuprophen you have taken has not helped you need to be seen. There are many causes of headaches, most are not life threatening, but with the amount of pain you are describing I suggest you be seen now.
