Spilling glucose: Spilling glucose in the urine is a sign of elevated blood sugar which may indeed be the result of what you ate immediately before your urine test. Diabetes cannot be fully ruled out with urine tests - a fasting blood glucose or a Hemoglobin A1c are the best place to start.
