Appendix on ultrasound looks healthy and normal. the pain persists for 12 days. what is the pain caused by? should i stop worrying about app?

Cat scans have a : Better chance of picking up appendicitis than do ultrasound but you have to look at the big picture of what your symptoms are and if they are progressing. Generally speaking appendicitis is accompanied by loss of appetite, fever and constipation...but not always.

Look for other cause: Consult physician to find other cause of pain for appropriate therapy. Other causes of similar symptoms include enteritis or inflammation of bowel, infection of right kidney, gall bladder disease, liver disease etc.
