Lymph node: Certainly get this lymph node examined and biopsied. The fact that it has not changed in 7 years is encouraging; however, not diagnostic.

Not from that cause: If it is really a lymph node, it could be the result of an old infection from more than 5-7 years ago. Sometimes, a cyst can feel like a lymph node. It is not from sleeping with your mouth open. If it hasn't changed in 5-7 years and doesn't hurt or otherwise bother you, leave it alone.
