Depends where: Average height varies from state to state in India. Taken overall, average height for an Indian man between ages of 20 and 49 was 165cm (5'5") per one study (Mamidi RS, Kulkarni B, Singh A,Secular trends in height in different states of India in relation to socioeconomic characteristics & dietary intakes.FoodNutrBull.2011Mar;32(1):23-34.) I do not know the range of "normal," though.
