Double whammy: Dryness makes the eye allergies worse because the allergens are not rinsed away in the tears as much as they normally are. Reduce exposure to the allergen if you can. Rinse your eyes with tap water several times per day before placing your eye drops. If that is not sufficient, there are additional allergy and dry eye treatments: Oral allergy tabs (but increase dryness), punctum plugs, Restasis.
