Yes: Heat stroke(what you call sun poisoning)can be serious.Definitely causes severe headache & hot skin. Body temperature goes high,even up to 105. If you have a temperature above 103 degrees have someone apply ice packs to your armpits,groins,neck .Go in a tub of cold water.If you are breathing rapidly or are disoriented call 911 to take you to the ER. Take care.

Effect of sun: Yes, sun burn causes vasodilatation and heat does escape from the dilated blood vessels. In addition, the skin can actually burn. It is best to avoid such excessive sun exposure, as years hence skin cancers can occur despite the length of time in years regarding exposure.

Yes, can be serious: Common symptoms of heat exhaustion include headache, nausea, weakness, dizziness and feeling hot. Take your temperature- if it's 104 or more call 911 or go to the ER immediately.
