I have been in antibiotics for a week now. i am having a root canel on friday but today i have formed a pus pocket behind tooth. what should i do?

Alert your dentist: If it truly is a concerning pustule or abscess, then your dentist, or an oral surgeon, will be able to drain this lesions. You should let them know because if it is a concerning infection through antibiotics, you could get very sick in the near future; it could even compromise your heart.

Pus pocket: If the swelling is next to the tooth that is to have the root canal, it is most probably the infection draining. This will relieve any pressure from the infection and reduce any pain you may have. In any case, Call the dentist who is doing the root canal and inform them about them about the swelling. They may want to see you sooner.
