Is treatable: every single case seen has resolved. ...you need to identify the source of the ear ringing, either the ear or the TM joint. If ear you want to investigate the presence of infection especially bacterias and viruses.....The TM joint can also harbor infection but tinnitus can also occur when the joint is in a loaded posture. Get checked and treated

Tinnitus: If it has been ongoing for many months, then chances are that it is going to be ongoing. If it just occurred... then you need to see your physician to see if there is any reversible causes for this problem.
