Eating more slowly: allows the feedback loop for satiety to take effect. You may ultimately eat less. It might help to avoid indigestion or bloating that occur from rapidly eating large amounts of food.

Slowly: Generally, the only time we advise people on the rate at which they eat is for weight management. If you eat more slowly you will have eaten less by the time you feel satiated. When you eat rapidly you are prone to eat more food. It is also a good idea to give yourself the time to take a break and enjoy your food rather than eating rapidly, perhaps you are rushing through more than just food.

Eating slowly. : It's thought that eating more slowly allows more time for your stomach to signal your brain that you've eaten enough, so you generally won't eat to the point of excess if you eat slowly.
