A member asked:

63 /f/ should i be taking amino acid supplements?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally no: Unless you have a specific medical condition for which amino acid supplementation was prescribed, then - no. You or anyone else at any age that is otherwise healthy doesn't need amino acid supplementation. If you eat a reasonable diet, then you are getting sufficient amino acids, particularly essential ones, through diet anyway.
